Description:
1955 Jaguar XK140 Open Two Seater (OTS) that has been completely restored and has hardly been driven since completion. The car is finished in a rich Maroon with a very nice and complementary Black leather interior and a brand new Black convertible top with removable canvas and plastic side curtains .    Overall, this is a beautiful car that runs and drives exceptionally well.       This 1955 Jaguar XK140 OTS has the original drive train (numbers matching) 3.4 liter six cylinder engine coupled to the original 4 speed gearbox. This car is also equipped with standard disc wheels and spats (fender skirts) over the rear wheel opening. The car was frame off restored and it was done beautifully. The paint color is a really nice shade of maroon with a beautifully restored leather interior; the canvas top was also done with the proper materials. The chrome was restored to a high standard and the engine bay was painted with the same color of the car; as it should. The underside looks great (see pictures) and has a stainless steel exhaust system. Car was restored around 2008 and has been kept in a dry, heated garage since.       This is a wonderful return to the 1950's when British sports cars were the envy of the world.    This specific example is in outstanding condition and could be driven everyday if desired and if in the right climate.    The engine has plenty of power and has great oil pressure, the gear box is smooth and overall, it is just a joy to drive.       Low, Curved and Exciting, the bodywork of the XK Series created a sensation when announced in 1948.    The engine - a six cylinder - rivaled the big American V8's of the time.    Jaguar was center stage at the Winners Circle taking several Le Mans victories.    From 1954 until 1957, 3,350 of the roadsters were built with all but 49 bound for export; this particular car was delivered to the Jaguar distributor in New York.       Please Note The Following    **Vehicle Location is at our clients home and Not In Cadillac, Michigan.
