Every so often we get one of those just-assume-it-has-everything SUVs. This is one of those times. The EQS SUV impressed Edmunds with its high levels of comfort, luxury and technology. On top of that, it has plenty of range. This big Mercedes is expensive, but overall they think its justified considering all of the features and refinement you get. All models draw power from a 108.4-kWh battery pack mounted in the floor. You can charge the EQS SUV at home using a 240-volt outlet (like what you plug large appliances into), or you can install a dedicated wall charger capable of similar charging speeds. In public, there are comparable Level 2 chargers in shopping centers, parking garages or at some businesses, as well as Level 3 DC fast chargers along highly traveled routes. With Level 2 charging, it takes 12.5 hours to fully charge the EQS SUV from empty, according to Mercedes-Benz. Using DC fast charging, it takes 31 minutes to go from 10% battery capacity to 80%. Electric now has evolved with this four-door electric crossover! With its odometer now reading 592, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty until May 2027 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)! The dual-motor EQS 450 4MATIC and EQS 580 4MATIC are rated at a 285-mile range. The EQS 450 4MATIC SUV gets 79 MPGe in the city, 77 MPGe on the highway and 78 MPGe combined.
